These solid stools created from reclaimed fir wood construction beams showcase Codor Design's sophistication of craft. The blocks are first cut to size, then charred in an ancient Japanese technique that seals the wood from rain and rot. The stools are then gilded in silver or gold leaf to accentuate the dramatic lines of the grain, and finally sealed in an organic nut and seed based resin for a smooth, glossy finish. These blocks are versatile, providing a myriad of design solutions: use for decorative seating, as a modern end table, or an eyecatching statement piece.
